You meet up the rafting team at their headquarter in Valldal village. We put on the necessary safety equipment: wetsuit, helmet and PFD.

After we have put on the equipment, a bus takes us up to Hoel bridge. When we arrive at Hoel bridge the trip-leader will hold a safety talk for the group, where he explains everything that will and can happen on the river.

Then the group is shown which raft they are going to be seated in, and each guide will teach his crew the paddling commands and the right paddling technique.

Once everyone is ready it’s time to put the rafts on the river and try out the new techniques in the water .

We go down into a big eddy with our rafts, where we train a bit more on our paddling skills, before we go downstream where the real rafting begins.
